infophp() and php

maybe someone can shed some light on this:
Specs: os-win2k,sambar6.0b3,PHP 4.3.3,

running PHP as isapi seems to work fine however

when I test infophp script on server, it does bring up the php info page
but with the wrong info.
I reinstalled "manually" php made sure there is no second php.ini,
but it still gives the incorrect data, any idears thanks in advance.
Excerpt from infophp:

Configuration File (php.ini) Path C:\WINNT
extension_dir c:\php4 c:\php4
session.save_path /tmp /tmp

those are just some of the incorrect settings,
rebooted several times,etc,etc
where does infophp.php gets its information? what file?

for your input. I have tried that it it still does not work. (Display right info)
The idear is to use the isapi method over cgi-bin.
Question: Are you keeping your php.ini in the root directory?
I upgraded to "PHP 5.0.0b1" I get a modified display showing I use v5.o but the data in at least three
locations is incorrect.
Some one told me that I could be that I am using the wrong library but I have no clue by what he meant by that.
Anyway maybe I need to downgrade so where can I get an old version 3.3.2 .. This is driving me nut
it can,t be that complicated.
I also tried removing the php.ini from the system and guess what it still showed the same incorrect
information. Somehow it is reading from an library but not uppdating via php.ini so what can it be??
Info else where is real vague I got a sos out to a couple of people but have not heard from them yet.
