First, apologies if I put this in the wrong forum. This is my first post here.
There are online voting systems by the dozen, but what I would like to do is create an online meeting, that supports parliamentary procedure. It would need to support the following actions:
1) User registration and verification.
2) Motions and second of motions, such as adopting reports (to be attached), amend bylaws or constitutions, ratify or repeal amendments, and general resolutions.
3) Discussions of motions, threaded by motion or amendment.
4) Secret and public votes, and calls to votes.
5) Subgroups of users (committees).
I would like to inform relevant members when votes are called, and keep research pages (of all votes of one particular member, all motions or amendments proposed).
Is there anything like this readily available? If not, I'd like to get some information on how people would design this, how the best way to put together the information on each topic into easily accessible formats, and so on.
