Concat in groups

• SORRY. I posted a new reply instead of replying. For those of you who are interested this is dealing with group_concat in mysql 4.1

I got it working perfectly. I installed an ran mysql 4.1 with the --no-passwords option and everything worked perfectly.

So no I can concat all of the joined rows into one field.

Thanks for the pointer. Now I just need to figure out how to manipulate it a little more.

It came out like you said,
Example '2,3,4,1'

Now i need it to look like
'user2,user3,user4,user1' then I am happy.

Nevermind, I think you need

SELECT group_concat('user', user_id, ',')
FROM user_table;
