Resize page

Hi,

At this moment I use 2 webpages that I call depending on the screenwidth of the visitor. Since I still have 640x480 visitors but also 800x600 and 1024x768 and in the future even higher resolutions things are getting very complicated.

My question:
Is it possible to resize my PHP-page depending on the screenwith of the visitor?

Well you can determine the resolution of visitors to your site using javascript but it isn't very reliable. The best way to ensure it is the same for all is to use a CSS's and only use percentages and relative positioning.

On your homepage, or frontpage, tell the users to set their resolutions to whatever suits your website best. You can't always try to make a website work for everybody. If you go around trying to make a program like that, I can assure it won't work on some wireless device, or some computer that uses a higher resolution. I'm not saying your idea is bad, because it's not, but a resolution is something for the user to take care of, with the web designer to point them in the right direction.

design for the lowest common denominator and then center that so those with higher resolutions see the page in the middle and not running down the side.
