Win32 version of PostgreSQL

Hi all, just thinking about my new project and was wondering where i could get a hold of PostgreSQL for win32? i just want to try it out, see who it compares to MySQL (from a user's view not a speed or interals view).

I have googled, but it hasnt turned up much.

For a recent version, gonne hafta do it through Cygwin

i dont really care about how recent it is as long as it's 7.x...but that IS pretty recent isn't it? and am i correct in believing that cygwin is a unix-emulating C-compiler? that's my impression at least.....

Cygwin is a bash terminal for Windows. You get get it off of Red Hat's site. But I warn you....installing Postgres on it can really, REALLY suck....

Postgresql is one of the built in packages for cygwin now. It's nowhere near as painful as it once was to install.

There are a couple of native ports (one of 7.2.1) you can find by trawling the archives at fts.postgresql.org that run much faster than the cygwin version.
