I can´t connect to MySQL at WIN2000 Professional

I install mysqk 3.23 in my machine with windows 2000 professional and when i try to use the service i recive the message:

ERROR 1044: Access denied for user: '@' to database 'mysql'

It´s strange, i not change anything, some one can help?

And what are you using to connect? Some code you wrote? A phpMyAdmin sort of script? Command line? Two cans with a string tied to each end????

i try mysq-front client, command line, php and the result is the same, i have access only to the test database and i can´t create another one 😕
