PHP Authentication box does not go away!!

Hello,

I though that I got most of work done when I say the popup box
but it just did not go away after I typed in some user name ans pass word and then clicked OK button.

Maybe this should be && instead?

Actually the $PHP_AUTH_USER should be
$_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'].

errr, ok; but you still need to change the OR to an AND condition. Since the same variable can't have two values simultaneously, the OR condition will always be TRUE.
