Define an IP address

Hey all, i'm not 100% sure if this can be done, but here it is. I want to have a link from my site that can determine the ip address so if I clicked the link on my page and the page it went to read the ip address could I set that?

Please be more specific I don't know what you are trying to do when you don't use punctuation and don't specify what exactly you are trying to do it really helps to be more specific and not use run on sentences which are confusing and hard to read they are not good and should be avoided so use some punctuation.

i THINK they are saying that one page1, they want a link that takes them to page2, and displays the IP of the person who clicked the link..

IF that is the case, the matter is quite simple, but also redundant, as you can just include their IP on the main page with

<?
$ip = $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'];
echo $ip;

?>

no, i'll try again. I want a link from my site that can set the ip to be read from the next site. e.g

MySite > MySite sets special IP address (111.11.11.11) > User Clicks Link > New Window Opens > Newly Opened Site Reads IP > IP Returned as 111.11.11.11

Is this any more helpfull? Would I beable to set $REMOTE_ADDR in my link for example

www.page.com/index.php?$REMOTE_ADDR=111.11.11.11

Yep, that makes sense now.

on your page the link that goes to the other site:

<a href="http://www.anothersite.net/anotherpage.php?ip=<?php echo $_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"]; ?>">Anothersite</a>

And for the other website to be able to read that IP, they need:

<?php
$ip = $_GET["ip"];
echo $ip;
?>
