I have a question:

I have started designing a page with an image of 800pixels wide. I have set the page width to 800 pixels wide. When I print 1/4 of the image gets chopped off and there is no horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the page. Is there something that I need to do in the HTML or that can be done via javascript or in PHP that will send the page correctly to the printer?

The image is too long. Try making it 775 pixels.

I thought about that and just tried it, but the issue is that they want this site to look/fill up most of the screen no matter what the resolution is set to, however print as if it were only set to a width of 640pixels(so that it prints correctly)

Any script of any language to accomplish this?

using tables to frame your layout,
cut the image into 2 sections add all the menu options in the first section and let the rest of the image be in the second part of the image that extends beyond the printable page like:

You could also use stylesheets to create a printable layout and then launch a printable page via a link, but if they use the file menu from the browser, you do not have control over that.
