hey thanks for your input, this is what i have so far.
$MESSAGETEXT = "
Montreal Expos - Sent outright infielder-catcher Edwards Guzman,
pitcher Eric Knott and first baseman-outfielder Joe Vitiello to
Edmonton of the Pacific Coast League (AAA).
Pittsburgh Pirates - Claimed pitcher Jason Boyd off waivers from
the Cleveland Indians; released infielder Jose Hernandez.
Texas Rangers - Announced that pitcher Aaron Fultz, infielder
Donnie Sadler and outfielders Ryan Christenson and Jermaine
Clark have cleared waivers.
";
$MESSAGETEXT=explode("\n\r",$MESSAGETEXT);
$RESULTS = count($MESSAGETEXT);
for($i=0;$i<$RESULTS;$i++) {
echo "New Message: ".$MESSAGETEXT[$i]."<br>";
}
now, my next question is... do you know if there is away to get whats ever in front of the dash into its own variable? I have looked into preg_match but i cant figure that out.
Example:
$Var = "Montreal Expos";
Hope someone can help me out, thanks again.
