echo all results for each day of the week

I have a table in MySQL that has something like this:

title | mon | tue | wed | thu | fri | sat | sun

Each day of the week may have a 1 for checked 0 for not.

Now I want to echo all the titles that match each day of the week. But I can't do a while loop and just generate a table it needs to go in a prebuilt HTML table.

Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday etc

Each column showing all the titles that match that day.

I want to avoid doing multiple sql quary and result and while loops for each day in the table. I was trying to do it once, put it in an array and then search that but I really stink with arrays.

So I was hoping someone here might have an idea on how to tackle this.

I need more information about what you're trying to do and why it needs to be a "prebuilt" html table and not a dynamic one... It's also fairly ambiguous how you're trying to display this. Is it by title? (ie: one title on a page with the days it matches) or is it by day? (ie: one day with all of the titles displayed for that day) or some combined way?

Ok, well basically this is an update schedule. The titles are sections of the site that update once or multiple times a week.

So section1 might update on mon and friday
and section2 might update on tue and thu

So I have this html table on the site homepage that list each day of the week and I'm trying to display all the sections that update that day.

Monday - section1
Tuesday - section2
Wednesday - No Updates
Thursday - section2
Friday - section1

etc. There may be other sections that update on the same day as another. So section1 and section3 will both update on monday.

Right now in the DB table each section is in one row. That can't change and they have a field for each day with either 1 or 0 in it like I had in my first post.

In a worst case the table can be dynamic, but I was hoping to avoid that since it has a custom graphical design with images as the titles for each day of the week etc. And I already have code in there so the table cell color changes when it is that day. So today the friday cell is colored cause it's friday. That's all done using the date function etc.

You should be able to make all of the formatting as dynamic as the change of the days. I'm still not understanding how you're displaying it though. Maybe you could link to your site?

If it were me, I'd display it either by day, in which case you'd just need to select the rows that had a 1 in that particular day and then display one column of information. Or I'd display it by the entire week and have php go through all of the rows and allocate them into a variable for each day of the week and then display that variable at the end, which shouldn't mess up your formatting and should be able to be cached or run to generate a static page if you don't change the schedule often.

It is basically a table with 7 columns.

Mon | Tues | Wed | Thu | Fri | Sat | Sun

and under each day should be all the sections that update that day.

I'm confused on how to list all the matching titles in each column without having to do a separate sql query i.e.

select title where mon = 1

I would think there is a better way to do it. My thought was to do the sql query put the results in an array and then search through that. First, arrays are my worst PHP skill so I don't know exactly how to do that; second, I thought maybe someone would know a better way.

So if I build the HTML table dynamically what would I use as the switch for each day. Maybe an array with each day?
