Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by...

I develop my PHP/MySQL sites on a Windows XP workstation and then upload to a linux/mysql/php server.

I have a site which works fine locally but when I upload to the linux server and use the site in the same way I get the error "Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by...".

I know what the error means but I don't why it should work in a Windows implementation and not a linux implementation.

any ideas?

I did search first, but couldn't find any info so hence a new posting.

I think that some users who post sarcastic replies and think they are funny should be on television..... so we can switch you off!

Give us the credit of knowing how to use the site.

Make sure that you have no spaces, text, returns etc before calling the header function.
