php VS J2EE

I am new to this field, could someone help me to explain what difference between php and J2EE, and why one choose php not j2ee.

Take a look here. Many differences between Java and PHP. Java's a bit harder to learn for one, so if your just starting in programming, Java will be tougher then PHP
