retrieving from mysql database

When trying to retrieve data from mysql databases I am confronted with errors such as:

Notice: Undefined variable: trainername in c:\program files\easyphp 1.7rc1\www\signupconf.php on line 11

I have recently changed my php version, and these scripts all used to work. Any ideas?

Well, considering you haven't shown us a spec of code, I can only speculate, but this is usually because of using a

if($var) { }
//instead of
if(isset($var)) { }

Hi, I'm new to php but I wish to help.
Check that register_global is turn on. To check, open up your php.ini file and search for register_globals. However, it's not wise to turn that on.
