Hi, i just installed a new 120GB hard drive on my compaq PIII...and then i installed winxp pro...everything went fine but then it said computer will restart, but when it came back on nothing happened, there is a cursor that keeps blinking on the top left corner of the screen, i waited for a while but nothing happened so i restarted the comp, but still the same, the cursor keeps blinking at the top...any suggestions
do you have that HD set as the master drive and you have it on the primary IDE channel...
try booting into safe mode, not sure how on XP, but on 2K it is F8
if all else fails, reinstall...
then if all else fails again, install Win2K...
