Couldn't open stream [IMAP]

Hi!

I just installed the PHP module IMAP on a Redhat Linux server where I run Apache.

I used the imap functions in PHP without any problem.. viewing emails.. delteting them and so on..

But sometimes I just get the error

"Couldn't open stream {mail.domain.com}"

it happened twice in a week now. And then after a while it works again.

Could it collide with other installations like cURL and Ming?

Try using the IMAP_ERRORS and IMAP_ALERTS - it may help you in the right direction by showing what was going on up to the error, as well as showing the actual IMAP error, rather than the bland unable to open stream error...
