Posted variables seem to dissappear on Windows 2000 Servrer

Hello,
I haved coded some scripts that work well on a Windows 2000 pro PC (with IIS 5.0, php 4.2.3) but when I put those scripts on a Windows 2000 Server (IIS 5.0 and php 4.2.3 ISAPI, just like the other PC) i get into deep troubles !!!
When someone tries to log into the login script, authentication only works when the client browser is IE 5.0 (less than SP3). In other cases, it looks like the posted variables $login and $pwd are empty 😢
On both servers (W2000 Pro and W2000 Server), the scripts, the directories, the permissions, php engine and php.ini are all the same. I don't have a clue...
If someone can help, that would be great...

have u moved the PHP ini file from the former to the latter?

may be the problem is in register_globals = Off in php.ini file?

thanks for your help ;-)
Concerning the php.ini file, it's a copy of the working server (win2000 pro) and nothing has been changed in it, because the directories structure is the same on both servers. I looked at the permissions on the c:\tmp directory (session.save_path = "c:\tmp") and it's also the same on both servers (Everybody, total control).
I also looked at the parameter register_globals and it is ON...
