[Resolved] saving referrers

hi, i know hot to get a referer, but i dont know how to build a mysql query.

it goes like this...

i want to display X best refferers to my site. how to do this? i searched the whole freakin net but could find a thing.

So if u get users referrer, u need to look in the database if it already exists and if yes then increase the value with 1. if not then.... here i am stuck help!

You need a simple sql statement

UPDATE table set count=count+1 where referer = $refererURL;

Check after doing the query to see if any rows are changed , if not do an insert on the new referer.

BTW, best not to use count as a field name. Yet another reserved SQL word.

INSERT INTO table (refCount, refferer) VALUES ('1', '".$refererURL."');

I don't think count is a reserved word.
