session file destroy pb

somebody knows how to destroy session files after the guy close his navigator for ex ?

I Think it is this!!

unset($_SESSION["whateveryouhave"]);

you can always look in the phpbuilder forum with simular problems!

session files are automatically destroyed after a certain amount of time. Check manual for session garbage collection

[edit]As a side note, you should provide a "logout of session" link, and perform a session_destroy() if you can[/edit]

unset session var doesn't destroy the session file it just delete the value of the var in it..

about the session destroy, I know this function but when navigator is closed....you can't destroy the session..I didn't know about the gabage collector, does't still works if session_destroy has not been called ? doesn't it also works if I use in_set to change site by site the session path to put it in the wwwroot of each site ?

im not sow good at session but this mybe work.....

session_unset(); or $_SESSION=null;
session_destroy();
to be on the safe side, explicitly delete the session file.

The garbage collection process will only work on your session.save_path

yes i'm ok about this code but when the guy close the windows...how can you execute the code as the page is closed ?
