spesific time from timastamp

hi everyone;

i'm newbie on php and database and i have a problem.

Ý have soma datas on my mysql server. time colum collects data unix_timestamp like= 1064091236

and i want to select data where spesific date. For example

i want to select datas where day=09 or month=08

when timestamp type like 20030312456788 it is so easy;
but my timestamp like 1064081336
$day="09";
SELECT * table WHERE date LIKE '___$day___'

i dont know how can i?
