RPM install?

Hi,

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to linux and all this compilling install thing seems a nightmare 😕 (although im assured its not actually that difficult) Anyway, I was wondering if there is an RPM that would be suitable for installing php with mysql support on a linux machine running apache?

Php needs to be atleast 4.2.2
I have a redhat 8 Installation CD is there likely to be soemthing on that?

yeah there is, but i'd go with the tar'ed versions, they are easier to configure

go the the Linux/Unix help forum, there are some links to tuts there for info on installing MySQL and PHP, and how to configure PHP to work with MySQL.
