Maybe a odd question but how much load or resources does a redirect take?
If you redirect on your index page like this: header("Location: $destination");
In theory it would double the amount of server hits or am I wrong?
Yes, it'll be a lot more hits.
But I find it very hard to believe that you'll ever actually notice the difference.
