the current lack of themes is disappointing, texturizer seems to have cut many...... is it a compatibility issue?

It loads up pretty quickly. faster than IE as it seems to me. i have added lots of plugins/extensions and cannot see any difference in speed (good that they are not bogging it down).

loving the rendering. pretty nice.
though i dont like the way it handles some form elements. the textarea, buttons are something I feel could have been done better.

its been just 2 hours and its my default browser now 😃

Which is pretty damn, impressive, when you remember that IE does most of its loading at boot time, and then sits around waiting for you to run "iexplore.exe".

Yep, Firebird is what if finally took for me to dump IE. I was no big fan of IE's CSS support (or lack thereof) and no fan of M$ (surprise, surprise) but every other browser that I tried had little quirks that were enough of a pain to keep me from switching... Can't wait for it to hit the release version at 1.0

I'm using it, but when I load up PHPbuilder, the Flash ads cause the pages to slooooowww doooowwwn. It's a bit annoying.

then get the flash blocker extension.... i have it, it's quite useful. you have to click on flash for it to download.

Well, the theme maintainers need to adjust their themes, and some are either too busy, or in the case of the Phoenity themeset, do not have the technical know-how, only the design skills.

Wish they'd hurry up and release updates... I miss my Orbit 3+1. (Broken on Mozilla 1.5 as well)

Doesn't seem to like javascript dropdown menus though....

Not quite my default browser as yet... although I wouldn't mind making it so if only they worked.... (yes it is enabled...)

Sounds like an issue with the code/website to me. I've seen/coded plenty of Javascript/ECMAscript dropdown menus that work in the Gecko Engine (aka, adhere to W3C DOM)

Very odd, I did doubt my code on it, so tried it on another as well, still no joy...

If you know of a site that has dropdowns that do work with Firebird let me know so I can see what code they are using ???

Mine does check out though, so dunno... odd...
