multi user site

i'm fairly new to php....that is i have done all the basic tuts and some more...
anyway i want to build a site that will have numkerous users able to crate and upload files to thier own workarea, they will then be able to add specific users to his project area!!
kind of like a beam.tv sorta thing can anyone suggest where i could start and any tips??

Hi;

First I would recommend you getting familiar with MySQL. You can find some great tutorials on w3school.com. Your script doesnt sound very difficult at all... it will come together after having learnt how to use MySQL with PHP.
