Not Displaying HTML in forms

I have seen examples of text input forms whereby the sent value is HTML formatted, but the seen value is as it would be in a browser...

I am writing a lot of forms for my community based site, and this would be a great feature for my HTML dumb audience

I've searched thoroughly, but only found WYSIWYG Editors that you need to install onto your server, and I don't have the power to do this, Any suggestions😕??

there are ready to go wysiwyg javascript modules out there that let you use html forms just like frontpage, etc.

the downside is, that they only work in ie afaik - and with javascript enabled of course...

Yeah, I've seen these before, I've recently read an article that IE6.0 can do it on the fly, but this really restricts my audience...

Oh well, the peeps must learn them a bit HTML...

having your users posting html is very dangerous.

Yeah, I would utilise the kind of things you see when inputting for this forum, but you can use stiptags() to decide on which tags are to be utilised.... then nl2br() to turn new-lines into actal break tags...
