PEAR DB Problem

I have been having a lot of trouble with PEAR's DB class. I have written an application with it and it works well on the original machine that I developed it on, but I've moved it now and I get nothing but blank pages on other machines.

When my scripts get to a DB call, the script dies and all I get is a blank screen with no HTML and no errors. Through many painstaking hours I have traced this problem to DB. I have the problem on a Unix box and a Win2kServer box as well. I think it may be some incompatabliltiy with DB and MySQL 4.0.1.

I'm using the newest versions of PEAR, DB and MySQL. If anyone can help, please do.

I have discovered that my problem is not a DB problem after all. It seems that any time I try to connect to MySQL I loose my entire script. Even by just using the mysql function. The following yields only the first echo statement:

echo "before database";

	//connect to the database
	$db = DB::connect($dsn);
	if(DB::isError($db)) {
		die ($db->getMessage());
	}

	echo "after database";

make sure you have mysql support compiled in. Next, increase your error reporting level to E_ALL
