php and Framesets

hi ! I will make a site with 3 frames top nav und main frame. when i set this frames and save it under main.php top.php.nav.php . I cant see the output of the simple php script like echo "hallo"; .

Which suffix must have my frameset php or htm ???
can someone help me ?? PLz.

it dont matter, as long as the file that pulls them altogether has the right names in it

try make it easy on yourself and name all files with a .php extension.

which file are you trying to echo "hello" from?

if its main.php (which I assume contains your <frameset> tags... then of course it wont dispaly because its not part of the frameset structure....

maybe link us to your page so we can see whta you're doing? or paste the code in each of the files... using the

 open and close tags surrounding it
