problems with session

Hi,
I can not get the session_cache_expire function to work. I need to set the session expire time to 10 minuts, but session_cache_expire(10) don't work!

I found some old threads in this forum where other people also had problems with that function.

HELP! 😕 😕 😕 😕

Now that session is supposed to expire in 10 minuts, right?
But it don't!

Althoug, if I echo session_cache_expire(); it outputs 10 - it just will not expire in 10 minuts!

there should be a continuous gap for session to expire.

suppose 10min is the expire time.
suppose i open a page. i refresh the page after 6 minutes then after 5 minutes. its been 11 minutes since start but only 5 min since last visit, so session will expire only when its been 10 min since last refresh.

if i fetch the page again after 11 minutes instead of 6 min, the session will expire.

I quess that is how it is supposed to work, but it does not work here! I even tried to load the script, and don't use the computer for 30 minuts - an it still has not expired!😕
