sub query errors

Hello!

Whats wrong with the this sub query.. I cant get it to work :/

lastaction is a datetime type

select MAX(lastaction) from student <-- this works

but this doesnt work

select nickname from student where lastaction=(select MAX(lastaction) from student)

whats wrong?

Well... Mysql has limited support for subqueries. Only in the newest non-production release version. So check your version to see if you even have support first. There are a few ways around this though.
