mysql data type for SID

In order to create a column into which I will insert session ID's, what type and size should I specify for my data type?

Well, here is an example session ID 292b37d19b07c2d73282b55dda8b561a it is 32 characters long and is alphanumeric. I'd say char(34) you may be able to get away char(32) I'm not sure if the sessionID is always 32 chars.
