dynamic data in a <marquee> tag

I thought this may be simple, but perhaps I am simple

I would like to establish a simple news ticker in the bottom frame of a page. Marquee provides the function needed, but the data i would like to shown is successive rows of a table. how can i put the contents of a recordset into the tag?

loop through recordset, printing each item you would like to print
heck throw in a delimeter (so people can tell one item is ending, and the next is beginning
