mod_rewrite

Any here with experience in mod_rewrite? I'm trying to rewrite the following URL:

category/action/2

to

category.php?html=$1&page=$2

I've tried many rules, but it keeps passing 'action/2' to html. The first part (action) can be any letters or an underscore and the second part can just be numbers. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think what you need is

RewriteRule ^{category/([/])/(.)} category.php?html=$1&page=$2

That works perfect for the first variable HTML, but page is blank. Any idea what's causing that and how to fix? Thanks for your help on this!

SorryI can't tell you whats going wrong.
It works fine for me.
