Search .doc, .pdf, etc. Files

Hi, I would like to know if theres a way in php for indexing/searching inside different type of documents (doc, xls, pdf, ps, etc.)

I am sure there's no built in way to do this but I am looking for all sorts of solutions, like libraries or products.

I'd appreciate any kind of input. Meanwhile I'll keep searching.

There are PHP PDF functions covered in the manual. You can access Word files with PHP and COM, also covered in the manual.

Yes, something like swish-e. Just that there's no extension for PHP like the one for PERL (or is it?).

Are there any other options?
