[Resolved] php sessions and the switch method

Hey there, this is just a basic question, no issues have arised yet.

I'm developing a basic news script and I'm going to have all the admin features on one single file using the switch command. Obviously for an admin page I'll need to use sessions for user authentication etc. My Question is, if I put "session_start()" command at the top of the page, will this keep the session running no matter how many times the page is loaded and no matter what what case is running? My assumption is it would. But I thought I'd check in advance.
