Insert a space when joining to Vars???

I have 2 fields named c_f_name and c_l_name. I need to populate a mysql
field with the 2 combined with a space between them so when we send info to
ACH processing company the First and Last name are in a combined field not seperate

$firstlast = $c_f_name.$c_l_name; - Will produce EricHaskins

How do I insert a space so it will look like Eric Haskins??

$firstlast = $c_f_name . ' ' . $c_l_name;
