Open a .txt file and remove all \'s ????

How would I go about removing all \'s from a .txt file?? I have a query that is dumping fields from a database into a file to be imported into ACT!.

I cant remove the slashes in the query so I need to parse the file right after its created.

Yeah that wont work because the file is being created by MySQL using a query like this

"Select * from customers where sale='yes' INTO OUTFILE "/var/www/$filename" FIELDS TERMINATED BY ' , ' LINES TERMINATED BY ' ,[1]\n'"

So I have to be able to open file and remove all the \'s that are placed in the data.

Could you not remove the slashes before you write to the file?

Anyways to answer your question you should consult the manual for fopen, fread, fwrite functions in order to deal with reading and writing to the file.

To remove the slashes then you can use str_replace or strtr to find all of the occurences of backslashes and replace them with the empty string. If my memory serves me correctly you will need to use "\" in order to search for backslashes.
