logrotate cause the apache down

Hi,

I am installing PHP4.3.3, apache1.3.28, MySQL 4.0.14 at RH8. My problem is, once I activate the logrotate to manage the apache log, my apache serice will down at 4am, every day! what is happening here?

I set as 'weekly' to rotate the apache log, but how come the apache service will down. I check the apache log, it keep on record 'segmentation error' .

Any idea?😕
