why do this happend every time whene i create new DB? how do i fix it?

Hi everybody

I wounder why this happend everytime i create a new installation or a new dB buildup... i have manage to ignore this error every time becuse i made a backup off my old DB where i dident have this error...

The thing now is that i inserts this value to mysql to grant access to root i think sow the root have privliges to access mysql...

SET PASSWORD FOR root@localhost=PASSWORD('some password');

but this dosent work ether??? Grrr why help? this is the error??

By the way i use mysql for windowsXp

use a command prompt and find the directory with mysqladmin executable then do this

mysqladmin -u root password whateverpassword

i have tested that and i get a error..

mysqladmin: connect o server at 'localhost' faild error: 'Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO)'

the thing is that i can access mysql by typing this c:\mysql\bin\mysql
there i can access mysql i can create tabels and sow on but i cann't access it from php !!the password is right in the php code!!...

If i use a old mysql buildup and copy it to the old place where the old db shoulde be places it works to access the db and wright to it from php!
