bit of a strange topic title i know 🙂
I've managed to get myself some pretty high spec servers with a lot of bandwidth from a friend, now, seeing it as a bit of an opportunity i've decided to set up my own small hosting business (aswell as hosting gameservers)
To do this I need to fill them up as soon as possible, because he says if they dont start making some money they'll just be sold,
I'm offering ridiculously high amounts of space and bandwidth for a comparatively small amount of money as it's not costing me much in the first place, do you think this is the best way to go or do you think I should charge what other hosting providers charge? (my line of thinking is: charge less, more people will come - but from where?)
also does anybody know how to get into the gameserver market? I can run a few gameservers per server on these machines, and judging by the ridiculously high prices of getting your own gameserver (around £100/month) it'd be easy to undercut these companies,
I've got all the technical expertese to run servers (and have run one or two in the past) but no business ideas,
what'd you all think?
