Been using a user login code library for a while and it works well but it relies on cookies to remember that a user has logged on (when they're browsing the site).
What's the best way of achieving a login script, which remembers the fact that the user has logged on when they're moving about the site without using cookies?
Unique string in the URL? Passed from page to page? I've never really got my head around PHP sessions, is this what they're there for?
Sorry, might be obvious but I've been looking into the options and I can't find out the best way to do it yet. I'm interested in it working on older browsers and non-cookie browsers.
