I've got a Php script that allows you to e-mail friends about my website; it's a sort of Tell-a-Friend Script. When you use it, it does everything it's supposed to and all that. The problem is that the receiver of the e-mail can see something like "Mike@1002-15.lowesthosting.com" (lowesthosting is my host). Is there a way to change that to "A Friend" or just "Mike"?
note: Mike is the name the person entered when prompted to enter their name.
I think the solution may go in this area
<?php
$embordercolor = "#ff0000"; //The color of the highlight around forgotten fields
$siteaddress = "www.mikestermedia.com"; //The address in the email sent
if($email&&$name&&$sendname&&$sendemail) {
$body = "Your friend, $name, at $email has sent you this email to tell you about a cool website called $siteaddress. This is the message $name sent. $message";
$thesubject = "A cool website from $name";
if(mail($sendemail, $thesubject, $body, "From: " . trim($name))) {
echo "<BR><BR>Your e-mail was sent successfully.";
