relative links on windows

Is there way to use realive links on a windows server (Apache + PHP)?

I have work on two nearly the same configurated machines, one of them allows relative linking in html files (only).

??? Anyone an idea?

yeah, if it is indeed relative, yes you can use relative links on Windows!

I know something like "$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']."/Folder/";

what i mean is, if you have a site and folder like this:

/mainhtml/page.php and that links to /mainhtml/more/page.php

and you put the mainhtml folder into the web directory on your windows box, the links won't change, cuz they are relative to the other page...

if you mean linux like:

/var/www/html/

and windows like:

C:\Apache\www\htdocs\

then those will be different...

I have a strycture like this:

/includes/
/usenet/downloads/

in the folder downloads is a index.php with the following

include("/includes/header.inc");

and this should be work on windows?

full pathes like?

like i showed before, ie absolute paths:

Linux example: /var/www/html/

Windows example: C:\Apache\www\htdocs\

I test websites on my windows machine and upload them to a linux host thats why this links must look the same

and that's because you are using relative links
