Exactly ... and it went to "press" ??

If I submitted the ad properly to an agency and they did that with my copy, wouldn't I sue?

And if I had an editorial staff that let that slip, wouldn't I make a note in some personnel files?

Or does no one care about syntax, except in programming, any longer? :rolleyes:

My total pet peeve in life, dalecosp- bad grammar... we catch those types of mistakes all the time on the news, in newspapers, and in ads... makes me crazy!

Like you said... doesn't anyone proofread? I mean, come on- there were 14 FREAKING words on that whole ad. And they couldn't get those right? NOBODY who looked at that ad before it went to press saw that mistake?

I know we work in IT- but COME ON PEOPLE! It's like 3rd grade stuff here. Who made that darn ad anyway?

Buzz, BITE ME. 😃 This is hardly professionally printed material here, and I can attribute my casual, conversational tone to the particular writing style in this forum. Furthermore, I would at least have written 'ORDERED' instead of 'ORDER' even when applying the current casual style. There are numerous misspellings and poor usage of language in this forum that I can easily overlook, but a PROFESSIONAL IN MARKETING SHOULD KNOW BETTER. So there :p

Stolzy, yes we've been busy 😉 but I would most likely go off again should another case of unwarranted poor grammar be brought to my attention (and I ain't talkin' bout us!) 🙂

Dalecosp, the nesting thing is in full swing, and trust me I'm taking full advantage of it. I'm glad your wife still has the energy to act on it... energy becomes a most precious commodity 🙂
