The PHP-Windows .chm help file (for 4.3.3, generated Sun Oct 05 02:13:52 2003) says, for mssql_connect, "The servername argument has to be a valid servername that is defined in the 'interfaces' file." Nowhere else can I find any info about the 'interfaces' file. Evidently sybase needs it, but I don't see any further info about that, either. Is this still valid, or is the help file out of date? If not out of date, where can I find more info about the 'interfaces' file for ms sql?
I'm having problems connecting to an ms sql server (trying to connect yields 'login failed, severity 14'). I'm running IIS on Win 2000, using SQL Server 2000, developer edition. Perhaps the 'interfaces' file is my problem.
