[Resolved] previous page refreshing

at the moment i thought it was a good idea to store the previous page in the uri so that i can quickly refresh back to it when the operation was complete, but now ive realised that because the previous page includes an & symbol its only getting the information before it...
example:
in the uri is: prevpage=index.php?modules=test&this=that
the bold is what prevpage is meant to be, but because of the &this=that its classing that as a seperate variable. how can i make sure that its all recognised as one? or will i have to either use $POST to send info or even set it as a $SESSION and then delete it after ive done with it?

not clear on what you mean, but with your query info, on the next page you would have 2 variables:

$_GET['modules'] //which would have a value of test

and

$_GET['this'] //which would have a value of that

i guess i'm just not clear on what you mean, since my explanation is pretty elementary, My Dear Watson!

well the link has this at the end which is the address of the page that the user just visited:
(the variable below is meant to be 1 variable ($_GET['prevpage'])) but as you can see because of the 2nd & symbol its classified as 2
what i want to do is class it as 1...

&prevpage=/index.php?module=Downloads&did=4

easiest way i can think of is setting it as a session variable

oh, i see, try [man]urlencode[/man] and [man]urldecode[/man]

that will turn the & into something like %20, but not %20, not exactly sure what the exact value is...

it turned:
/index.php?module=Downloads&did=4

into:
%2Findex.php%3Fmodule%3DDownloads%26did%3D4

and then back again on the other page, wicked!!!
