mail from nobody - server configuration?

Hi,

I have recently switched an application to a new server. Now when the app sends email the from address is nobody. in the past, the from addy was the email account of the user under which the app was running.

I realize that I could go in and switch all the mail() commands to include the from address, but I'd rather not do this if I can change some seting on the server?? Can someone shed some insight on this please?

There is. In Windows, you specify in the php.ini file the sendmail_from address. In nix, it uses the default address on sendmail, provided that's the program you're using.
