I need to do secure LDAP calls (laps://) through PHP on a RH9 server running PHP4.2.2 (shipped with RH9), but the script terminates where it is trying to do the secure LDAP calls. When I open up a shell and do an ldapsearch I get a Segmentation Fault. Is OpenLDAP broke in RH9 for TSL/SSL connections, thusly affecting PHP's LDAP libraries? If so, how may I go about fixing this? I need to authenticate users against our campus eDriectory LDAP server over SSL. Thanks in advance.
