well first off, one thing i'd love to see, is that not all beavers are evil. they should all start evil, but over time, if you're noce to them, they get friendly. this would probably involve a lot of last-access data and a cron, but i'm sure you're up to that 😉
another thing would be contests. this does not have to be inherent to the simulator, but can be a seperate project on its own. the ability to make your beavers compete would greatly improve the experience IMHO.
