therefore i believe it's messing with my script. I am using fsockopen() to get info from a website and then displaying that info, this works excellently, except for when the search includes a .

now, i thought about using a % style of a . (what is that called anyway? like / is %2F and a space is %20 etc) Problem there is i cannot find the equivalent to .

any help is appreciated 🙂

tried that, it does convert everything else, however, the . isn't being converted to anything.

. should not concatinate anything thats not hard-coded PHP code... so either you're doing something wrong, you're not being careful with an eval() statement, or something else is the matter.

I suspect the latter one of those three... post your code maybe?

But what I want to know is what a '.' character (presumably inside a string) is doing allegedly being parsed as a concatenation operator. How did it get out there?
