I am planning to start work on a small shopping cart system (to help teach myself PHP skills!) and would like some advice...
what is the best way (or a good way) to store the shopping cart details ??
is sessions a good idea for this? if so how do save each individual item ? with its own sessions variable?
I also can use MySql database if this is an option?
I would like to be pointed in the right direction!

sessions, not optional, they are a must
database not optional, its a must, recommend mysql
geez, u choe a hard project to learn with, would take months for a n00b to make a secure cart. just search the forum for stuff and hotscripts.com
